HAPPY 34TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY DEB

HAPPY 34TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY DEB

This picture of Deb and I was taken 34 years ago. I had just returned home for two weeks from Fort Knox, Ky. at Basic Training in the Army. Deb and I had been dating for almost a year . We talked about getting married  a few times and we decided to elope. We Ended up driving 2 hours north to a little town called Gaylord. My folks had a cottage near there so we could stay there and save on some expenses. We then drove into Gaylord and stopped at a church and talked to the Preacher and told him our idea. He wasn’t too keen on the idea and said he would not want to marry us under those conditions. We understood his thoughts on it and we left the church and headed for the Gaylord Courthouse. We had no problem their getting hitched. It wasn’t real fancy , but it worked out well. In less than a half hour we was a legal couple. There were those who said it would not work , especially eloping and not having a nice planned wedding and such. And we had our moments when we were a little scared about it all . We just hoped things were meant to be and we would be together for a lifetime. I am proud to say when I look at Deb in this picture, I still have just as much fun with her and we still laugh and joke with each other like we did all those years ago. In a time when 6 out of ten marriages fail , it even means more to us we are so happy in our marriage all these years later. I tell Deb everyday how much I appreciate her and how much I still love her. It sounds a little corny , but I know i would not be the same person or even close to it without this sweetheart in my life. Thanks for a great 34 years Deb !! We do not know what tomorrow will bring , but I know God gave us one more day together , and I can’t wait to do Fondue with you tonight on our special Day !!! YOUR THE BEST !!
GAYLORD SNOWSTORM- We got 4 more inches of snow over night. I DID get the tractor out and plow everyone a second time this year.
LeTourneau Loader Progress- Tomorrow I will post the next progress picture of the front frame section with the front axle welded in place. The picture below shows me unloading a toy at the National Farm Toy Show.
