Here is another picture of the first dragline model I will build next month. If all goes as scheduled, I will deliver it to Mel Price the first week or two in Jan. He had said he was going to take several of my models he puchased from me over the last couple years and take them to the St.Louis, Missouri Toy Show in Feb. He said he would like the dragline so he would have a nice selection of machines on his tables or in his room.
ACCO 12 wheeled motorgrader. After the dragline, I want to build another cool motorgrader. I got a Cat 16 to build for a collector friend for next Aug. show in Indy, but because I really like graders and I have always been facinated by the ACCO monster grader, I just got to build that this winter too.
The Beauty and the Beast truck is also on the list for this winter. I am so lucky to have such a great hobby. It would be very easy to cross the line and have it become work instead of a fun hobby. EVERY week I get at least one E-mail from someone wanting me to build them something. Some big projects and some small projects. But for now I am passing on them as I am loving building things I really like. It’s still fun building things for other people, but I did that for eight years. I get the most enjoyment building machines that are my favorites. I’m sure when I get the things done I want to build I will go back to building farm machinery and farm tractors and other things people want. I’m just hooked on building this stuff right now. And that is a good thing, it sure makes the winter more enjoyable compared to sitting around and waiting for the next snowstorm so I can plow snow. LETOURNEAU LOADER- Looke like I will get it painted as planned this week. I worked on the design for the Cat D-9G last night and will be ready to cut out the first parts for the first track assembly on Thurs. I should get that D-9G completed in the next three weeks. GAYLORD WEATHER- We still got all our snow from Sat. morning. It got colder and no snow melted . So things are white around here like a winter day.
